Although American sculptor Alexander Calder is best known for his invention of hanging mobiles, he was a master of many mediums; painting, designing theatre sets and creating prints throughout his career.
In 1946 Aimé and Marguerite Maeght founded Galerie Maeght in Paris and the art museum la Fondation Maeght in Saint-Paul de Vence. The gallery and the museum has collaborated with some of the worlds most famous artists and has a unique and impressive art collection.
