A high quality reproduction, from the archives of Galerie Maeght, of the original work 'Tahiti' by Henri Matisse.

Henri Matisse was a French painter, paper artist and sculptor and one of the most important and influential artists in the 20th century.
In the late 1940s, Henri Matisse turned almost exclusively to cut paper as his primary medium, and scissors as his chief implement, introducing a radically new operation that came to be called a cut-out.

In 1946 Aimé and Marguerite Maeght founded Galerie Maeght in Paris and the art museum la Fondation Maeght in Saint-Paul de Vence. The gallery and the museum has collaborated with some of the worlds most famous artists and has a unique and impressive art collection.

For BLU ART we have selected some of our favortie pieces from Galerie Maeght's vast collection. Our selection look beautiful together as a group for an eclectic art wall, or as a single striking centrepiece.
